Enjoy the innovative swim-up bar at the Garden District Hotel in New Orleans.
The Garden District Hotel in New Orleans has launched a novel swim-up bar, touted as the city’s first, enhancing the pool area opened earlier this year. Open to hotel guests and the public, the pool features stylish amenities, various event opportunities, and a first-come, first-served entry policy with tiered pricing based on day and age. Plans for future expansions are also underway, promising to enrich local recreational offerings and the hospitality landscape, combining New Orleans culture with a tropical experience.
New Orleans – The Garden District Hotel has unveiled what is being celebrated as “New Orleans’ first and only swim-up bar,” offering an innovative and refreshing experience for both hotel guests and the public. This unique poolside feature is part of the hotel’s expansive pool area, which opened in early 2023, just four months following the hotel’s initial launch.
The pool area is now fully operational, providing a welcoming environment with stylish cabanas, accommodations for lawn games, and opportunities for various poolside events. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the pool is accessible to all, with public entry available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those wishing to enjoy the pool, the cover charge varies depending on the day of the week. From Monday through Thursday, a fee of $30 is applicable per person, while entry on Friday through Sunday rises to $45 per person. Reduced rates are offered for children between the ages of 5 and 12, with entry fees set at $25 during the weekdays and $35 on weekends. Children aged 4 and under can enjoy free access to the pool area.
The pool area spans an impressive 2,000 square feet and is equipped with over 30 loungers. Additional amenities include a tanning ledge featuring bubblers and jets, creating a luxurious atmosphere for relaxation and enjoyment. The hotel also hosts community classes, including yoga sessions, providing visitors with a variety of activities to enhance their pool experience.
Located at 1525 Prytania Street, the Garden District Hotel is managed by Dreamscape Hospitality and represents the company’s second property in New Orleans. The concept for the swim-up bar was inspired by the owners’ observations of similar offerings at Caribbean resorts. The hotel’s area director of sales noted that the swim-up bar aligns seamlessly with the vibrant lifestyle of New Orleans, aiming to enhance the local hospitality landscape.
By the end of June, the swim-up bar portion of the pool will officially open, further adding to the unique attraction of the facility. The hospitality group has also hinted at plans to expand further, envisioning a third hotel location set to open by fall of 2023.
This opening marks a significant development in New Orleans’ recreational offerings, combining the city’s renowned culture with a tropical flair. The Garden District Hotel aims to make a splash in the local hospitality scene, catering to both tourists and residents in search of relaxation and leisure.
