New Orleans – Six individuals have been arrested following a significant multi-agency drug bust in New Orleans and Jefferson parishes on Monday, June 23, 2025. This operation was led by a coalition of local and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Louisiana State Police, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the New Orleans Police Department, the FBI, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

The investigation culminated in the execution of six search warrants at various locations, targeting identified high-intensity drug trafficking areas. During the operation, law enforcement seized more than $6,000 in cash, nearly 250 grams of cocaine, as well as fentanyl, MDMA, and a range of drug paraphernalia.

As part of the raid, two properties were shut down, located at the 1700 block of General De Gaulle Drive and the 1700 block of Erie Street, both valued at approximately $400,000. The shut down businesses included a tire shop, a restaurant, and a car wash, indicating a significant crackdown on establishments involved in illicit activities. Additionally, a nearby double shotgun house was reported for eight open violations, raising public safety concerns in the area.

The Arrested Individuals

The arrests comprise a diverse group of individuals:

  • Quinton Gilmore, 45, has been charged with possession of heroin and fentanyl.
  • Sashara Gilmore, 46, also faces charges for possession of heroin and fentanyl.
  • Terrell Brown, 32, was arrested on outstanding warrants.
  • Gregory Scott, 61, has been charged with possession of MDMA and drug paraphernalia.
  • Dwayne Refuge, 44, is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
  • Gabrielle Miles, 54, faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine and operating a clandestine drug lab.

Context of the Investigation

This operation is part of a broader initiative aimed at combating the increasing prevalence of drug-related crime within the community. The Orleans Parish District Attorney has highlighted ongoing efforts to address rampant criminal activities connected to drug trafficking.

The recent arrests signify a continuation of law enforcement’s intensified focus on drug-related activities in the region, marking this bust as pivotal in a series of similar operations. Since October 2023, authorities have seen at least three other business closures connected to criminal activities, indicating a troubling trend in certain neighborhoods.

The investigation is still underway, with officials examining further details and assessing the full scope of operations mirrored in these illicit activities. Authorities aim to dismantle networks that contribute to drug trafficking and bolster community safety through stricter law enforcement measures.

This multi-agency response not only underscores the collaborative efforts made by various law enforcement entities but also highlights the growing commitment to tackling drug-related crime in New Orleans and neighboring parishes.
