His journey from a local club to U18 national team success exemplifies his rapid growth in the sport. With strong skills in shooting and rebounding, Boudouma aims to make a significant impact in the Southland Conference. After two years at the Tilton School, his commitment signals a promising future for both him and the Privateers program, which is looking to improve after a challenging season.

New Orleans – Enzo Boudouma, a promising basketball talent from Switzerland, has officially committed to the University of New Orleans Basketball Program on a full scholarship. This commitment marks a notable step in Boudouma’s rapidly progressing basketball career, particularly as he prepares to join the Privateers, who compete in the Southland Conference alongside schools from Texas and Georgia.

At six feet eight inches tall, Boudouma is recognized for his shooting ability, rebounding skills, and overall scoring capacity. Despite not starting organized basketball until the age of 15, his rapid development has caught the attention of coaches and scouts alike. His journey began at Fribourg Olympic Basket, a club in his hometown, after which he transferred to the Center National of Switzerland (CNBS), a second-division team, where he credits the coaching staff for his physical and skill enhancement.

During his second season with CNBS, Boudouma’s efforts were rewarded when he was called up to represent Switzerland on the U18 national team. Competing against some of Europe’s best young talent was instrumental in his development, further solidifying his reputation within the sport. Following another successful year at CNBS, including an MVP of the Week award for the Swiss NLB in July 2023, Boudouma started exploring additional opportunities to advance his basketball career.

In pursuit of higher-level competition, he consulted with his agent, who suggested exploring prep school routes in the United States, which could serve as a conduit to Division One basketball. After considering various options across New England, Phoenix, and New York, Boudouma ultimately chose to attend the Tilton School. The decision was influenced by recommendations from his agent regarding coach Mike Byrnes, known for his ability to enhance players’ skills both mentally and physically.

Spending two years at Tilton School aided Boudouma’s skill enhancement, setting a solid foundation for his basketball ambitions. He expressed sincere gratitude towards his coaches, teammates, and family for their unwavering support and belief in his journey. Soon after completing his time at Tilton, Boudouma shared his commitment to the University of New Orleans on social media, expressing appreciation to everyone involved in his development thus far.

The University of New Orleans Privateers, under the direction of coach Stacy Hollowell, recently concluded their first season with a challenging record of 4-27. Nevertheless, Boudouma believes in the team’s future vision and felt an immediate sense of welcome during his official visit. His positive experience with the team and coaching staff played a crucial role in his decision to join the program.

Boudouma’s transition to the Privateers marks an exciting chapter, not just for himself but also for the program, as he steps into a competitive conference known for developing talent. His relatively short history in basketball is a testament to his potential, and expectations are high for his contributions on the court as he embarks on his collegiate career.

With aspirations to make an impact in the Southland Conference and continue his growth as a player, Enzo Boudouma is set to bring his unique skills and dedication to the University of New Orleans. As he prepares for this next stage, all eyes will be on him to see how he adapts and thrives at a higher level of competition.
