New Orleans – Kavita Mansukhani, a beloved first-grade teacher and devoted family member, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her husband Kishore Mansukhani, three daughters, and extended family.
Mansukhani was married for 23 years to Kishore Mansukhani. Together they raised three daughters: Salina, age 20, Ria, age 16, and Kareena, age 10. She is also survived by her parents Bhagwandass Sadhwani and Lajwanti Sadhwani, two brothers, Naresh (Meenakshi) and Prakash (Rakhi), as well as her mother-in-law, Lajwanti Mansukhani, and niece and nephew. Kavita was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Shyam Mansukhani.
Born on April 5, 1979, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Kavita completed her education at the prestigious University of Holy Cross before dedicating her career to teaching. She worked as a first-grade teacher at George Cox Elementary School, where she inspired countless young students with her passion for education. Kavita was known for treating her students with the same love and care as her own children.
Outside of her professional life, Mansukhani was passionate about traveling, enjoying special occasions, and capturing beautiful moments with friends and family through photography. Her dedication to her daughters and her influence in the classroom are deeply remembered by those who knew her.
The funeral service for Kavita Mansukhani will take place at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 11:30 AM, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to pay their respects.
